Abstract

В статье рассматривается вопрос о заимствованиях некоторых слов из русского языка в английский. Подавляющее большинство слов могут переходить из одного языка в другой, однако существуют такие уникальные слова и выражения в русском языке, которые могут переводиться на английский только дескриптивно, при этом их эмоциональная окраска часто утрачивается. Автор статьи условно разбивает такие слова и выражения на несколько логических групп, приводит пояснительные примеры и интерпретирует значения лексических единиц.
