Abstract

В статье раскрывается история становления и развития воспитательных учреждений для детей в Чувашии. На основе анализа архивных документов, дореволюционных изданий раскрыты особенности функционирования воспитательных учреждений для крестьянских детей из малоимущих семей (летние сельские ясли-приюты и др.), показана роль И.Я. Яковлева в открытии этих учреждений в чувашских селах.
