Abstract

The article examines the problem of the role of family as a resource in the formation of life competence of adolescents with mental disorders. The relevance of the research problem is based on the need to develop life competence in children with mental disabilities, in particular with mental retardation. The materials of the article can be useful for students of higher education institutions in the preparation of programs aimed at the formation of life competence, as well as for special psychologists in the organization of this work with mentally retarded children and their families.
