    The article analyzes the influence of motivation on the educational process in the subject «Fundamentals of Homeland security and defense». It examines motivation in detail as a complex psychological mechanism that determines interest in learning, the desire for selfimprovement in various fields and forms the basic knowledge necessary for everyday life.
