    Abstract:
    In recent decades the system of secondary vocational education in Russia has been going through a difficult path. Socio-economic development forecast for the period till 2030 defines priority directions in SPO transformation as the main production driver. Professional organizations of SPE system are undergoing reforming, which has touched such spheres of detail as the content and organization of the educational process; integration of SPE educational organizations; changes in the requirements of educational standards, etc. Significant challenges of our time are the need to update the content of SPE educational programs, the introduction of practice-oriented learning models in cooperation with core enterprises and organizations, updating the list (register) of professions and specialties based on the staffing needs of the regions, digitalization and transformation of different types of work. This publication is dedicated to the analysis of training activity in implementation of educational programs in SPE, including application of e-learning in the conditions of reforming the system of SPE in Russia. Materials and methods. General theoretical methods are used to achieve the goal of the study: analysis of theoretical sources, generalization and systematization of the data obtained; empirical methods: observation. The research materials are historical facts, scientific articles, dissertation studies, data of practitioners and experts, opinions of the leaders of education development in Russia and other authors.

  • On the motivation of prospective students to go to university college of the Siberian State Industrial University

    Abstract:
    Among school graduates, an increased result in secondary vocational education and a decrease in interest in higher education became noticeable. This article discusses options for obtaining vocational education after graduation, puts forward hypotheses that explain the increased interest in obtaining secondary vocational education, in particular, the problem of increased fear of the unified state exam among applicants and their parents and their desire to «get around» it is studied. The article indicates the increased interest in the system of continuous education in general and in the city of Novokuznetsk in particular. To confirm the hypotheses put forward, a study was conducted in which 167 first-year students of the University College of the Siberian State Industrial University took part. The students were asked about their motives for entering the University College after the 9th grade, and about the reasons for entering the University College of the Siberian State Industrial University specifically. After analyzing the results, it was concluded that the hypotheses put forward were confirmed, and the main reason for the refusal of high school students to continue their studies at school in grades 10–11 in favor of obtaining a secondary vocational education was determined. The article notes that every year the number of those wishing to receive a secondary education at the Siberian State Industrial University will grow, therefore, the number of specialties and places for study should be expanded.

    Abstract:
    The article deals with topical issues of the development of psychological and pedagogical support for teaching staff in educational institutions of the penal system. It seems to be an urgent and promising direction to create the necessary situations for the professional education of persons serving sentences in the form of imprisonment, to improve educational work with convicts, to preserve and strengthen the working personnel of the penitentiary system. In accordance with the requirements of the Order of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation dated 03/24/2020 No. 59 "On approval of the Procedure for the organization of vocational education and secondary vocational education of persons who are sentenced to imprisonment and serving sentences in institutions of the penitentiary system of the Russian Federation", the necessity of obtaining vocational education and secondary vocational education by convicts is justified.     Abstract:
    In this article, the problem of quality education in general and the question of investing in education in particular are studied. Modern consumers invest in their education, seeing in these investments the opportunity to increase their attractiveness and value in the labor market, and large organizations, industries invest in training of personnel, considering this contribution as a guarantee of their own survival in the conditions of global competition. The author notes changes and updates of investment directions in the field of education, as well as promising areas of activity in the secondary vocational education of Sevastopol.
