Раскрывается идея работы органов исполнительной власти по организации образования и воспитания в военные годы. Многие материалы статьи взяты из личных воспоминаний тех, кто в детские годы пережил ужасы войны.

Приведены и охарактеризованы направления и формы участия, масштабы и значение разносторонней работы коллектива кафедры по увековечению подвига советского народа, уроженцев Чувашии в Великой Отечественной войне.

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to preserving the continuity of two generations of the sons of the Chuvash people in the defense of the Fatherland. The exploits of the representatives of the older generation who defended their homeland – the Soviet Union in the fight against the fascist invaders in 1941–1945 and the successors of their cause – the sons of officers who served in the Russian Armed Forces. Their role and place in strengthening the country's defense capability and patriotic education of young people are revealed.

    Abstract:
    The Great Patriotic War is one of the most tragic events in the history of our country. Each region of the country contributed to achieving victory over the enemy, and the Siberian north – Yugra – was no exception. Despite their remoteness and extreme climatic conditions, representatives of the region bravely joined the ranks of the Red Army. During the war years, 17,890 conscripts left the territory of the Khanty-Mansi National Okrug to go to the front, including more than five hundred representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North: Khanty, Mansi, Nenets.тDuring the Great Patriotic War, the district became an important element in the logistical support of the active army. A school for training military and medical personnel has been launched in Ugra. Fishermen worked all year round to supply the army with canned food. Wood was used to make blanks for butts, skis, and shell boxes; In addition, they produced aircraft plywood, pontoon beams, and matches. The district successfully handled fur harvesting. The workers of the North used their personal savings to build combat vehicles. They contributed money, bonds, gold and silver items to the country's defense fund. Front-line soldiers and home front workers made a significant contribution to the common cause of victory over fascism.

    The article examines the events of the Great Patriotic War, which had a great impact on the educational process of Vologda school No. 8.
