  • Development of ethno-environmental culture among future teachers

    Abstract:
    The article offers a brief analysis of implementation of ethno-environmental component in academic subjects included in basic academic program "teachers’ training" with two training profiles "Biology and Chemistry" and "Biology and Geography". The subject matter of the article is the curriculum and extracurricular activities that are relative to ethnocultural features. The article is a theoretical overview of Russian and foreign literature on the considered topic. The analysis of the curriculum and extracurricular activities was carried out with the sue of applied examination method. It is concluded that ethno-environmental education of future biology, chemistry and geography teachers is facilitated with a range of conditions developed in the Faculty of Science Education, which include: disciplines of subject-methodical unit aimed on development of environmental thinking, based on ethno-cultural experience of Chuvash; curricular and extracurricular activities aimed on activation of their ecological and ethno-cultural practice. The main forms of upbringing the ethno-environmental culture of future teachers are as follows: master classes in ethno-environmental research; round tables devoted to ethnocultural information about toponyms; ethno-environmental seminars on the problems of protected areas of Chuvashia, etc.

    The work is devoted to the problem of co-learning of languages ​​and cultures in a multiethnic region. Introduction. Addressing the problem of ethnocultural education in the context of the ongoing changes in the life of society is due to reasons that require timely response and adjustments to the process of education and upbringing, especially among young people. The purpose of the study is to generalize the theoretical and practical approaches to teaching a foreign (German) language, taking into account local ethnographic material. Methods. The work represents the author's reflections on the problems of ethnocultural education. Research results. To solve the problem of filling the content of ethno-oriented education based on knowledge of the elements of everyday culture, traditional culture, linguistic picture of the world, it is necessary to include in the process of teaching a foreign language topics, issues related to the sphere of everyday life of northerners, their living conditions, family relations, rules of behavior, traditions, rituals. Conclusions. Currently, educational institutions are changing the approach to teaching foreign languages ​​towards the development of communicative and intercultural competence of students, which involves the co-learning of languages ​​and cultures of both the country of the target language and the native land. This can be facilitated by a balanced selection of the content of the «Foreign language» subject at the expense of the ethnocultural component as a reserve that forms intercultural competence for socialization in the world space.

    Currently, a new digital educational environment is being formed, changing not only the content, but also pedagogical technologies. There are also new requirements for the digital competence of all participants in the educational process. As a result, there is an increasing need for educational organizations for specialists who are able to organize and support the educational process using the resources of various educational platforms, e-learning, online games, digital textbooks, etc. The purpose of the article is to familiarize readers with the issues of introducing a digital educational environment in a modern general education school, which is used to solve various educational and organizational tasks. During studying the topic, the following methods of the empirical level were used: description, comparison, measurement. The analysis of regulatory documents and a survey among users of existing digital educational environments were also used. At the end, the modeling of the digital educational environment for a specific educational organization was carried out. The result of the study is a designed structure of the environment that reflects the interests of all participants in the educational process. The tools for creating each component of it are also considered. The possibilities of each tool are revealed for students and their parents, teachers and the administration of an educational organization. The composition and user group of the environment components are described. Special attention is paid to the advantages and disadvantages of implementing the environment when implementing mixed and distance learning within the individual training route of students at any stage. Since the openness of the environment should take into account social mechanisms – competition, cooperation, mutual learning and mutual evaluation. In addition, the specific features of the digital educational environment at different levels are reflected. The issues of high-quality content and openness of the digital educational environment are raised.

    This article deals with the problem of conflicts in adolescence, which in the modern socio-cultural space has acquired unprecedented relevance. Dynamically changing society from day to day, dictates its own rules in the adolescent environment. Differences in views, preferences, thoughts and worldview are acutely perceived within the adolescent group. Due to the age and physiological characteristics that occur at this age, adolescents often do not know how to control their behavior and correctly respond to emerging controversial situations. All this sets the task of teachers and psychologists to help the teenager, to teach him a rational way out of the conflict, as well as to carry out preventive measures, to create programs to reduce the level of negative manifestations.

The theoretical analysis includes the description of statistical indicators of the study of the problems of the transition of the Russian educational system to dis-tance learning; the description of the relationship between the concepts of digital educational environment and distance learning; the definition of readiness for learning and the structure of information readiness for learning in the digital edu-cational environment; the description of professional potential and the features of its formation in the process of distance learning. The practical part describes the pilot study of part-time and full-time students using the author's questionnaire and the results of this study. Among the distinctive characteristics of information readiness of psychology students are awareness, attitude and tools of the digital educational environment. The same characteristics – the ability to choose sources and select the necessary information from them.

    According to the model of the basic educational programme of higher education, an important condition on which the modernization process depends is the formation of the IEE (information and education environment) in higher education. The information and educational environment is defined as a set of information systems containing different types of support: technical and software, methodological, organizational and mathematical. These types of support are used in the educational process with the aim of effective training of specialists. Compliance with all the principles of construction ensures the effective functioning of the IT, which, in turn, ensures the quality training of a competitive specialist able to navigate in extreme situations and make adequate and timely management decisions.

    The implementation of the concept of inclusive education in Russia determines the study of theoretical and practical aspects of this problem, in particular, in the context of the tasks facing class teachers as organizers of student teams.     The study focuses on the fact that during the period of digital transformation, modern models of digital competencies have emerged, which serve as the basis for the formation of new standards in the field of education, for the expansion of the teaching professions of the future, for the transition to new learning technologies (mapping, scribing) and the development of professional competencies of students, one of which is information competence. The following issues («prospects of digital transformation in education», «types of models of digital competencies», «information competence as an existential skill and long-term metaability», «mapping as a process of translation of meaning-making», «specific characteristics of cards», «technology of scribing in education») which rise in modern research and affect the improvement of the educational process in the digital educational environment of the university are subject to discussion. Attention is drawn to the description of the pedagogical experience of using mapping and scribing for the development of information competence of university students. The examples of maps created by students and undergraduates of the direction of training «Pedagogical education» and contributing to the formation of their deep and error-free digital educational footprint are given. The influence of mapping and scribing on increasing motivation to learn and the emergence of new student startups in the field of education is investigated. The leading research methods are: analysis of digital competence models for the relevance of the process of developing information competence of university students; analysis and selection of modern technologies in the period of digital transformation in education; generalization of conceptual provisions on information competence and its role for human development; generalization of the pedagogical experience of using mapping and scribing for the development of information competence of university students. Promising areas of research are: the formation of a collection of maps for use in professional activities, for their cognitive analysis; development of the direction of video scribing for distance and additional education of students; identification of the advantages and disadvantages of mapping and scribing and their effectiveness in the development of students' information competence. The research materials are of practical value for students, undergraduates, university teachers and teachers of other educational institutions who are looking for new technologies in organizing the learning process.

  • On the Issue of Holding Meetings of Student Scientific Study Groups of a Medical University During the Period of Unfavorable Epidemiological Situation

    This paper considers the «problem of choice» of holding meetings of student scientific circles of the departments of operative surgery with topographic anatomy (OKHITA) and medical informatics and statistics (MIIS) N.N. Burdenko VSMU. This topic is currently very relevant, since the pandemic of a new coronavirus infection continues in Russia and around the world. At the beginning of the article, the information on the use of specialized electronic programs and electronic educational environments in the complex educational process is provided; the issues of their use at various stages of distance learning during an unfavorable epidemiological situation are analysed. However, according to the authors, very little attention is paid to additional aspects of the complex educational process, which are various student comeptitions, student scientific circles and student scientific societies. The aim of the work was an attempt to determine the form of meetings of the Council of People's Commissars of departments of various orientations (theoretical and practical), to determine the attitude of the respondents themselves – representatives of the teaching staff and students to the form of holding meetings of the Council of People's Commissars, depending on the epidemiological situation, and also to choose the most suitable electronic educational environment or computer program. The objects of the study were 50 employees of various departments of N.N. Burdenko VSMU (from among the teaching staff, who made up 1 group of subjects) and 100 students of the medical faculty – 2 and 4 years (who made up the 2 and 3 groups of subjects). The study was based on anonymous questionnaires. It was found that regardless of the direction of the department (practical – OKHITA or theoretical – MIiS), many respondents advocated the traditional (face-to-face) meetings of the Council of People's Commissars, subject to the normalization of the epidemiological situation. However, as it worsened, the majority favored remote, online, meetings of the Council of People's Commissars. An «interesting» result was obtained when processing the results of choosing an electronic platform for holding meetings of the Council of People's Commissars. So, despite the presence in N.N. Burdenko VSMU, specialized electronic educational environments, the «winner» and a kind of choice of respondents was the computer program «Zoom». The obvious choice of university staff from among the teaching staff and students makes it possible to recommend this program as a kind of «platform» for holding meetings of student scientific communities and circles.

    In modern theory and practice of education, preventive activity is considered as one of the main in the prevention of aggressive behavior in various subjects of the educational environment. Aggression is most clearly manifested among students of a sports college who are mastering professional training programs in contact sports. It is noted that aggressive behavior affects the formation of certain risks for the educational environment of the college and its subjects. In this regard, pedagogical prevention is aimed at the formation of appropriate competence in students, as a result of which future athletes develop skills of reflection of aggressive behavior, protection and self-regulation of the psycho-emotional state during educational and training processes.

    The paper presents the results of the research of the local educational environment` psychological safety for students of psychology of Irkutsk State University. Significant differences in psychological safety and security level between students of different years were found, for example, satisfaction of the local educational environment and educational safety of 3rd year students appeared to be a lot lower, which can be related to critical point in their primary professionalization. A substantial share of psychologically unsafe and insecure students was also detected. They obviously need a special psychological support.

    To create a psychologically safe educational process, the most important components will be the personal characteristics of the participants in the educational process. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of hardiness of future specialists with different strategies of self-affirmation as a fac-tor affecting the psychological safety in the educational environment. It is vitality that is one of the basic characteristics that allows participants in the educational process not only to overcome life circumstances and adapt to constantly changing conditions, but also to become stronger, qualitatively improving the standard of living, physical and psychological health. An analysis of the empirical data obtained was presented, as well as the features of psychological and pedagogical support aimed at increasing the resilience of individuals with different self-affirmation strategies.
