    In the conditions of digital transformation, the possibilities of providing sustainable development of industrial enterprises are closely connected with their technological upgrade. The objective of the study is to identify the achieved results of digital transformation and technological development of industrial enterprises in Russia, to find methods to improve the management of sustainable development of industrial enterprises in order to maximise the benefit from the use of digital solutions. The study shows the projections of sustainable development of enterprises in digital economy, the tendencies of use of digital technologies in Russian organisations are determined based on the results of statistical analysis, the process approach for managing sustainable development of industrial enterprises in combination with the ecosystem model for building relationships with partners is suggested.

    The article is devoted to the outstanding representative of the Chuvash people, pilot, public figure, Hero of Russia N.F. Gavrilov. The main focus is not on the military service and exploits of the hero, but on his socio-political activities in the Chuvash Republic. This is his work in public organizations in Cheboksary and Chuvashia, his activities to foster patriotism among the youth of the republic, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Attention is also paid to his participation in the life of the Chuvash community in Moscow and as head of the Federal National Cultural Autonomy of the Chuvash People of Russia. The example of N.F. Gavrilov as a representative of Chuvashia contributes to increasing its prestige in Russia.

    The article analyzes the sociocultural aspects of the formation of the Cheboksary Electrical Equipment Plant during the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. («Advanced Electrical Equipment Plant No. 654»). The process of evacuation of the Kharkov Electromechanical Plant and the establishment of industrial production in Cheboksary is considered. The issues of solving social and everyday problems regarding the placement of evacuated specialists, as well as the educational mission of the Plant on the formation of socio-cultural employment as the initial stages of the formation of a separate electrical engineering cluster of the Chuvash Republic at the present stage are considered.

    The article considers the method for overseeing the organization's worth based on the equilibrium of the growth equation which was introduced by K. Walsh. It describes the theoretical foundations basing on K. Walsh’s book «Key management indicators», gives the comprehensive outlook on internal and external environment of PJSC «Rostelekom», which in turn will be used as an example for calculating balanced growth equation and giving the essential conclusions based on it. The used methods of research are: analysis, classification, measurement, description, comparison. The article provides the results of calculation of balanced growth equation, its interpretation and suggestions on management of company’s value.

    Abstract:
    Despite the numerous problems in higher education in preparing professionals in demand in the national economy, currently existing approaches to solving them make them impossible to be successfully resolved. This is confirmed by the fact that there is still no scientifically designed governmental strategy for the development of higher education and a scientifically grounded model of the transition to a new system of higher education when moving away from the Bologna System, understandable to both higher education specialists and the entire Russian society. The analysis of the situation with the training of university graduates as future professionals suggests that all the activities carried out by higher education authorities do not allow providing the national economy with the necessary professionals in the changing conditions of the global economy and new challenges from the United States and Western countries. In these conditions, domestic organizations are experiencing an acute ‘personnel shortage’ for young and creative professionals, despite the increase in financial resources for the development of higher education from the government. There is a need for a radical change in approaches to the development of a governmental strategy for teaching students in domestic universities, since the designated new model does not imply a radical development of higher education as higher professional education.

    The sustainability of the agri-food system is key to long-term food security. The objective of this study is to identify factors that can hinder the achievement of sustainability of the agri-food system and to determine the most important prospects for its development. The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific and special methods, among which is the method of standardizing indicative indicators of food security, based on calculating the deviation of actual values from their threshold values. The object of study is the agri-food system of the Republic of Mordovia. The study identifies key limitations to the sustainability of the region’s agri-food system, including the unsatisfactory state of fixed assets, insufficient innovative activity of the republic’s agricultural producers, and the complicated situation with food waste processing. Measures to neutralize these threats have been proposed, primarily in the field of digitalization of the industry.

    The chapter is devoted to the study of adaptive capabilities and the development of suggestions on the application of event management at the sites of hotel enterprises with the concept of environmental orientation in their activities, to expand the list of services and improve efficiency. The relevance of this topic lies in the fact that event management is actively developing and over time this line of business is gaining popularity among residents of large cities and corporate entities; various concepts of holding these events are especially popular. The features of this activity, advantages are considered, and the effectiveness of its use in the hotel industry is demonstrated in this chapter. It is analyzed and revealed in the chapter that under the current conditions, the presentation of event services in hotels with an ecological trajectory can be organized in two directions: the hotel administration can invite an independent event agency or train its own event manager who will organize events taking into account the presentation of the ecological concept of the hotel development.

    Abstract:
    The chapter presents a complex of formative capacities for volunteer activities for the development of university students. Based on the methodology of a holistic approach to the analysis of the pedagogical process in the sphere of student volunteering, as well as empirical data from a survey of students and experts on volunteering, the authors propose a construct of the pedagogical functions of this sphere within the framework of a three-component structure of functions – developmental, educational and upbringing. The developmental capacities of volunteering are represented by such functions as: identification, referential, integrating, cognitive, orientation, reflective, communicative, empathy, facilitation, catharsis, functions of self-disclosure and self-consciousness. The educational component of volunteering includes the functions of social competence, as well as civil, legal and cultural competence, a team-building function, the functions of project modeling, professional adaptation, professional testing, professional-practical, career and self-education functions. The upbringing influence of volunteering is expressed in such functions as: social-motivating, innovative-initiative, harmonizing, human-istic, labor, value-worldview, spiritual-moral, functions of hardiness, self-organization, self-determination, and self-formation. The study concluded about the leading role of the moral function of volunteering for students’ self-realization.     The chapter provides arguments about the need to develop emotional intelligence in adolescence. Group counseling is considered as a way to develop emotional intelligence. The results of an empirical study of the level of emotional intelligence development in adolescent children, comparative diagnostic results of the experimental group before and after the group counseling program and the results of statistical verification of differences between the levels of emotional intelligence development in adolescents before and after the formative experiment are presented. As a result of the study, statistically significant shifts in the development of emotional intelligence towards its improvement were obtained. Thus, the group consultation program acts as one of the most effective means of developing emotional intelligence.

    The chapter examines the importance of critical thinking in the modern world and its development among schoolchildren, especially in the context of reading literacy in literature lessons. The author presents the technology of critical thinking as an effective method for analyzing, evaluating and synthesizing information, and provides examples of its use in teaching literature. In today's world, where information surrounds us from all sides, the ability to think critically is becoming a key skill for a successful life and professional activity. It is especially important to develop this skill among schoolchildren, since their ability to learn and adapt in an ever-changing world depends on it. The chapter discusses the application of the Cinquain method in the educational process, its usefulness for the development of creative thinking, critical analysis and communication skills. The advantages of using this method in literature lessons are considered and examples of its implementation in the educational process are offered. The author also presents the practical experience of a teacher in literature lessons at the middle level: a lesson summary, examples of cinquaines compiled by students in the classroom.

    Tourism is one of the most important sectors of the economy. The basis of the territorial planning structure of tourism is formed by the tourist and recreational support frame, which ensures the integrity of the tourist space. Its development is of great importance for the socio-economic sphere of the regions. The purpose of this study is to conduct a retrospective analysis of the stages of development of theoretical and methodological geographical research on the dynamics of territorial tourist and recreational systems (TRS) and their spatiotemporal development process. The concepts and essence of the evolution and dynamism of TRS, as a process of gradual irreversible changes affecting their sustainable functioning, providing the evolutionary prerequisites for the development of the system, were considered; it was determined that the basic concept for research is «recreational system». The theory of development of territorial recreational systems as a subject of scientific research of recreational geography and one of the main forms of organizing recreation and tourism is substantiated. The proposed scheme of the tourist and recreational framework of the region based on the economic and environmental frameworks allows us to form an understanding of the full functioning of the entire tourist and recreational sector for subsequent effective management in the face of modern challenges. Research methods. The methodological basis of the study was the works of both domestic and foreign scientists who formed a new scientific direction – recreational geography. The research was based on approaches and views about the key factors and processes influencing the formation and existence of two types (subject- and object-centered) models of recreational systems that are capable of preserving the integrity of the system and strengthening its structure. Results. The recreational-geographical periods of the evolutionary development of territorial-recreational systems in the development of recreational space are analyzed, the methodology and theory of geographical research are determined, and the dynamics of tourist-recreational systems in their spatio-temporal process of development are considered. A system of concepts of this scientific direction has been formed, based on the anthropocentric nature of recreation and tourism systems. A cluster approach has been developed as a promising way to create new tourist and recreational structures with innovative directions in designated ecological and economic zones of a tourist and recreational type. Conclusions. The recreational-geographical stage of the evolutionary development of the functional structure of the tourist-recreational system in the development of recreational space is associated with the emergence of recreational geography and the beginning of the formation of a new scientific direction that studies recreational resources, the structure and features of the functioning of territorial recreational systems (TRS), recreational territories and their properties. The use of breakthrough innovative technologies in the tourism and recreational sector, attracting investment and improving the tax system of organizations engaged in the innovative tourism sector, radically change the functional and territorial structure of tourism and recreational systems, increasing the efficiency of interaction between Russian and foreign tourism enterprises and educational cluster centers for the purpose of exchange modern technologies, training in the tourism industry.
