Training Foreign Students in the Use Of Reflexive Verbs of the Russian Language in Speech: the Specifics of this Category and Paying Attention to Features
Book ChapterTheoretical and practical aspects of pedagogy and psychology- Authors:
- Lilliia G. Petrova, Anna V. Elfimova, Sofia A. Chumakova
- Work direction:
- Глава 6
- Abstract:
- The chapter considers the verb as the nuclear center of the grammar of the Russian language. Particular attention is paid to reflexive verbs, the method of their selection for study by foreign students. This is due to the fact that Russian reflexive verbs are part of speech, which is a certain difficulty for foreigners to study. The authors believe that studying the semantics and functioning of the Russian-language reflexive verb, as well as developing ways to teach foreign students how to use it in speech, it is important to focus on its position in the Russian dictionary system, the functions of phrasal organization of speech and text. It is necessary to pay attention to the complexity and relationship of grammatical categories, which are the form, tense, methods of verbal action in close adhesion with lexical meanings of verbs. An attempt is made to systematize the reflexive verbs selected for study, grouping them by topics in a more concise form.

National Specificity of German Secondary Nominations with Zoonyms Schwein or Sau in Their Composition
Research ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 6 No 2- Author:
- Yuriy A. Vorobyev
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The article presents the results of the analysis of German secondary nominations with Schwein or Sau zoonyms. The aim of the analysis was to identify common and nationally specific features of these nominations against the background of their Russian equivalents. The relevance of this study is due to the need for a comprehensive study of secondary nominations, taking into account their axiological aspects, which have a certain cultural uniqueness and cause nationally unique semantic transformations in the lexical meaning of these units. The study used the methods of descriptive, comparative-comparative, component analysis, the method of critical dictionary analysis and dictionary definitions. These methods allowed us to conclude that the nominative potential of the secondary meanings of the German zoonym Schwein or Sau is more pronounced in comparison with their Russian equivalents. The analysis also showed a wider evaluative spectrum of German units and a greater variability of the axiological component in their lexical meaning both under the influence of the contextual environment and without it. Secondary nominations with the indicated zoonyms in their composition were selected as the main material of the study, identified by means of a continuous sampling from German explanatory, encyclopedic, phraseological and linguocultural dictionaries, German language resources, as well as German-Russian dictionaries.

The place of biblionyms in the onomastic space
Review ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 6 No 2- Author:
- Maria A. Markova
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The work is devoted to the study of biblionyms as one of the most important components of onomastics. It examines the biblionymy of Chuvash, Russian and English fiction using the methods of continuous sampling, systematization and classification of material, descriptive-analytical and comparative approaches. At the moment, biblionyms have not been studied enough. At the same time, their study is relevant and significant, since the title can be the key to understanding the text. This work is intended to clarify the interpretation of the term “biblionym”. At the same time, the author examines the functions of biblionyms, their classification, and identifies the place of titles in the system of onomastic terminology of the languages under study, which in the future should contribute to the development of the general theory of onomastics. The author of the work suggests using the term “biblionym” to understand the name of any text. At the same time, from his point of view, there is a need to introduce into onomastic studies such terms as “microbiblionym” for the names of chapters, paragraphs and constituent parts of the text and “macrobiblionim” for the names of collections of texts. By its position, a biblionym is a means of connecting the text with the outside world, in particular with the reader. Based on the biblionym, the reader will be able to form an idea of the content of the text.

- Work direction:
- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- The methodology of teaching Latin has undergone significant changes in recent years, and traditional approaches do not produce high-quality results. Therefore, the search for new effective methods of teaching this discipline becomes relevant. The teaching of the ancient language at a non-linguistic university should form competencies among students related not only to the expansion of their philological horizons, but also those that will be useful in the future profession. The current methodology for teaching the ancient language is based on the traditional structural approach and does not correspond to the new tasks of learning. Students do not understand the importance of this discipline in the formation of non-linguistic competencies. The main general scientific methods of this research are analysis and synthesis, as well as the comparative method. The practical part was carried out using the survey method. As a result of the study, the authors believe that the emphasis in teaching should be shifted to the wider use of algorithms, exercises, trainings in order to make the learning process more active. A new textbook that meets the requirements of time and psychological characteristics of students must also comply with the new methodology focused on a competency approach in higher education.

- Abstract:
- Universal human values play the role of supra-individual regulators in society, reflected both in the scientific public consciousness and in the ideas of ordinary people. According to V.K. Shokhin, values represent the fundamental components of personality. They are not only a powerful personal resource, but also a link between the individual and society, performing a socializing function and influencing the consciousness of generations. This monograph is based on the assumption that the reality perceived by a person in the process of activity is reflected in his consciousness through temporal, spatial and causal connections between phenomena and objects. The model of linguistic consciousness is a set of associations that help cultural speakers form an idea of a fragment of the world.

- Глава 11
- Abstract:
- The historical and practical experience of choreography has a phasing and hierarchy of the levels of mental activity, which can be traced in the history of dance culture through plastic codes. The phenomenon of choreographic art in the classical ages lies in the fact that within the late XVI–XIX centuries in Europe (Italy, France, Denmark) complex cultural processes and intersections of a biosemiotic nature took place simultaneously: on the one hand, this is the formation of a ‘new’ human worldview, and on the other, the formation of a ‘new’ model of scientific and an artistic picture of the world. Where the boundaries of the art of dance (the emergence of new genres, language and style) and cultural and historical time in different countries do not always coincide. In all this, the dominant side should also exist: finding of means (a rule, a method, a norm) and forms (creative thought, will, creative impulses, creative spirit) in the transformation of the foundations of the world order.

Optimization of teaching the logic of natural language as a method of cognition
Book ChapterModern issues of pedagogy and psychology: theoretical and methodological approaches and practical research results- Author:
- Nikolai N. Zhaldak
- Work direction:
- Глава 6
- Abstract:
- The efficiency of human processing of information from digital devices and other sources must be improved. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to give a scientific understanding of the representational logic of natural language as a method of cognition, and teaching it must be made purposeful and optimized. This logic includes its logical means and rules for operating with them and with figurative models of what they denote. Diagrammatic models make the conclusion purely formal. The author substantiates the possibility of this optimization by making a review of the main results of his own long-term scientific and pedagogical experiment. The author's scientific presentation of this logic covers any existential quantifiers that are featured in the diagrammatic dictionaries of the forms of attributive judgments about objects, places, times, cases, points of view; conjunctions with a relevant definition of conjunctions of logical consequence in a diagrammatic dictionary of judgments about cases; system of logical forms of questions. As for reasoning about properties, the most effective method of line-tabular diagrams is suggested. For a gradual teaching of this method and logical thinking from preschool age, a system of visual means, methods, forms of tasks and a technology for the professional training of educators and teachers is offered. Using this technology, according to the suggested forms, they compose and use meaningful tasks, and a special form serves to teach each rule. For children, a method is proposed for demonstrating the meanings of logical forms of judgments with the quantifiers "is", "no", "all", "not all", "only", "not only", "only all", "not only all", "all , except", "there is only", etc. with their fingers. For the blind, devices for teaching solving logical problems by constructing tactile line-tabular diagrams are patented.

- Pedagogy and Modern Education
- Abstract:
- Globalization on the one hand and border closure on the other hand spur communication process participants in all areas of human activities and especially young researchers into foreign language learning which is currently focused on foreign professionally-oriented texts. Traditional methods of teaching a foreign language based on grammatical approach are not effective in solving the problem of language competence development when working with professionally-oriented texts. The objective of this work is to assess the effectiveness of the method of legal texts concept analysis using a technique of metacognitive strategies in reading activity. Several groups of law students, Southwest State University (Kursk, Russia) took part in the experiment based on the above-mentioned method. Students performed both conventional (skimming, key words finding) and specially developed tasks (constructing a text compositional structure model, plotting a text graphical representation, etc.). Original criteria were used to evaluate the performance. The experiment showed a persistent significant difference in learning indicators and students’ behaviour in the control and experimental groups. The technique contributed to the development and enhancement of students’ skills improving their foreign language competence. The obtained skills facilitated communication and contributed to students’ satisfaction with the learning process, increased their creative and professional potential, students’ sustainable intrinsic motivation.

- Abstract:
- The relevance of this study lies in the fact that modern society is putting forward more and more requirements for graduates of higher educational institutions, to have a certain set of professional competencies, critical thinking and teamwork. The purpose of this study is to consider the concept of critical thinking, to identify the stages and levels of formation of critical thinking among students of higher educational institutions. To achieve these goals, the following research methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature of Russian and foreign scientists on the topic under study. The purposeful introduction of critical thinking elements into the process of teaching students a foreign language contributes to the formation of their critical thinking skills. The authors of the study cite individual fragments of the developed foreign language training sessions aimed at developing critical thinking skills. The conclusions of the study emphasize the main role of teachers, who help students interpret, analyze, evaluate and implement the acquired knowledge in practice. Teaching students a foreign language in line with critical thinking requires university teachers to master language competencies, purposeful, systematic preparation for conducting training sessions aimed at completing tasks related to the formation of students’ critical thinking skills.

Cognitive metaphors and comparisons in Udmurt riddles about bees
Research ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 6 No 1- Author:
- Tatiana R. Dushenkova
- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- The work is devoted to the consideration of riddles about bees in the Udmurt linguistic culture. The article aims to study comparisons and metaphors, as well as analyze the image of an insect in riddles. The material was riddles reflected in special folklore publications and lexicographic sources. During the analysis, linguoculturological, semantic, etymological, and conceptual methods were used. As a result of the study, it was revealed that the bee in riddles is presented in the form of complex metaphors, comparisons and euphemisms. The bee and the hive in Udmurt culture are revealed in different categories. The hive is most often associated with a house, a pit and a syulyk (a woman’s headdress). The sounds made by a bee and a bee colony are compared to the crying of a baby, the whining of a dog, or the growling of a motor. The bee itself or the bee family is associated in popular fantasy with a daughter-in-law, who is sad about parting with her parents and expecting hardships in the new family. Riddles about bees are typically compared to a huge number of people or a flock of sheep. In quantitative terms, the sound or hum of a beehive corresponds to a hundred or a thousand. Along with crying, the flight of bees from the hive is compared to sifting flour. Fairy tales also reflect the bee's ability to sting, build honeycombs, and make honey.

- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- A multi aspect study of bisubstantive sentences of characterizing semantics is necessary to solve complex problems of syntactic analysis. The grammatical specificity of bisubstantial sentences lies in the morphological identity of the predicative minimum. The study has theoretical and practical tasks: identify the structural, semantic and communicative organization of sentences, propose methodological recommendations for syntactic analysis of sentences. The material of the study is modern literature. Analytical and descriptive methods are used to analyze the linguistic material. The problems of teaching syntactic analysis of sentences are identified through experimental methods. The main conclusions of the study: syntactic analysis of bisubstantial sentences should consist of traditional structural and semantic parameters, roles and functions in the semantic structure and communicative organization of a sentence, take into account context, stylistic and pragmatic factors. Syntactic phenomena should be studied from the functional position at all stages and levels of teaching syntax of the modern Russian language.

About the dictionary of Chuvash microtoponyms
Review ArticleEthnic Culture Volume 6 No 1- Authors:

- Work direction:
- World languages and literature
- Abstract:
- This study is devoted to the problem of the dictionary of microtoponyms existing in the Chuvash environment. Chuvash microtoponymy is one of the lexico-phraseological stratum that is being lost at a rapid pace, and its fixation currently seems more than relevant. Scientists have voiced the idea of such a publication many times, and have repeatedly begun collecting material, but it has never come to fruition. This publication is essentially a prospectus for the designed dictionary. The study is based on the analysis of a collection of names of small geographical objects created by students of the Chuvash state university in 2023. Lexicography of microtoponyms poses the task of codifying them, studying as a result of a specific extralinguistically determined naming of local geographical realities, as well as possible interlingual contacts with access to the problems of glotto- and ethnogenesis, clarifying the typological features of Chuvash naming in general. The authors propose a two-stage work on the project: first of all, the collection of toponyms and their publication in the form of annual collections, and secondly, the preparation and publication of the final dictionary. The indicated approach will prepare the basis for a general work on Chuvash microtoponymy.

- Ethno-Cultural Problems of Education
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to the study of the ethnocultural component of the educational process of Chinese philology students. The purpose of the study is to build a professionally oriented model for preparing foreign students for intercultural communication in Russian. The research material consisted of video and audio recordings of educational work in Russian in the conditions of Russian preparatory faculties. Research methods – analysis of theoretical models presented in modern literature on teaching the Russian language in Chinese audiences; generalization of one’s own practical experience; modeling the educational process with the inclusion of an ethnocultural component in the model. As a result of the study, the authors come to the following conclusions: as an optimal methodological basis, one should choose a variable model of personal-activity learning, based on anthropological, communicative and cognitive principles in a complex, which will allow to include in training, on the one hand, ethnocultural component, on the other hand, will not disrupt the processes of comprehensive learning and the formation of a linguistic personality as an integral phenomenon. As an integrative component, the model presents a metatext that is relevant for Chinese philology students, based on the standardized intention «General characteristics of an object». As a result, students, relying on ethnocultural potential and the ability to build communication in Russian, by the end of the first semester master the A2+ level and are ready to work in the second semester to study special philological disciplines directly in Russian.

- Abstract:
- This chapter presents the result of the long standing integration of fundamental medical disciplines at one separate department (Department of Fundamental Medicine of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University), which was preceded by four stages. At the first stage, the discipline «Latin language» was integrated into the discipline «Anatomy», at the second stage, the discipline «Anatomy» was integrated into the discipline «Latin language», at the third stage, a joint lecture and methodological materials appeared in the course of each of the above disciplines, at the fourth stage it became possible to create an ideal model for the integration of fundamental medical disciplines. By the authors presents thedetailed explanedmodel, which includes four medical disciplines (anatomy, histology, pharmacology, propaedeutics of internal diseases) and illustrates a holistic view of their relationship. Two deliberately defective models for the integration of these disciplines reflecting variants of a discrete approach to learning are also proposed. The key role of Latin medical terminology in the development of the above disciplines is explained in detail, the differences in the forming and translation of Latin anatomical and histological terms into Russian are shown. The interrelation of anatomy, histology and pharmacology through a definite Latin term is shown. Arguments are given in favor of introducing the developed model into the educational process of medical students receiving higher medical education. The authors not only share their experience of the long standing interaction in teaching Latin and anatomy, Latin and histology, anatomy and histology, but also ask for necessity of cooperation between teachers of fundamental medical disciplines for creating (already at the initial stage of medical education) the holistic professional world outlook for students.

It is indicated that special attention is paid to the linguistic and cultural and aesthetic perception of the text, the analysis of the ethnocultural units included in it. Diagnostics of 6th grade students helped to identify difficulties associated with the axiological component of text analysis. Based on the diagnostic results, comprehensive training exercises have been developed in three main areas: actualization of background cultural knowledge for understanding the text, working with the word in the text, selection of linguistic means of representation when creating a text.
