- Abstract:
- The author of the article pays special attention to the project method that has great potential for the formation of a certain system of intellectual skills and practical skills in schoolchildren, which contribute to the mastery of the activity component of the education content. It is outlined that the use of the project method in working with elementary schoolchildren implies four stages: organizational and preparatory, technological, generalizing, reflexive. It is also emphasized that the specificity of the implementation of each stage, due to the age characteristics of the schoolchildren, involves leadership in the joint search for the problem and the choice of ways to solve it; ensuring that every child is included in the planning and performance criteria for product development, consistent implementation and adequate evaluation; organization of reflexive work on understanding the process and results of individual and group productive and creative activities at organizational, preparatory, technological and generalizing stages; management of the project product design and evaluation processes. Methods. On the example of the creative project “Traditional festive treats in popular culture”, practical recommendations for organizing the project work of elementary schoolchildren as a mental prediction of what will then be created in the form of a project product, independent planning and time-fixed achievement of the goal are presented. Results. It was concluded that in elementary school age, project activities are a way of pedagogically organized development of the surrounding reality by the child, therefore its success is largely determined by the level of methodological preparation of the teacher.

- Abstract:
- The author outlines that in connection with the need to develop students' abilities and skills for organizing independent research activities, a psychological and pedagogical analysis of the organization of university students’ research activities is made, and the basic tasks of developing the students' ability to do research work are formulated. Methods of research. To diagnose the development of this quality, research methods such as questionnaires, analysis, and comparative evaluation were used. The study defined quality, based on which we can generate interest in students to do research activities – the ability to cognitive activity, awareness of actions, independent approach to creative problem solving, commitment to self-development and self-education. It is noted that for development of skills for doing research work it is recommended to engage students in the situations where it is necessary to find the solution to problems, help them to analyze qualitative changes and to predict the results of a particular process development. In the course of experimental work carried out by lecturers of the Lipetsk State Technical University, positive changes, indicating the development of the ability in students to do research activity in the process, organized to introduce students to research work at different stages of their training were identified.

Giftedness as a Pedagogical Problem
Research ArticleDevelopment of education No 2 (8)- Authors:
- Vladimir A. Tomilov, Margarita M. Krivenko
- Work direction:
- Theoretical and Applied Education Research
- Abstract:
- The difference between the concepts of ability and giftedness in the context of a competency approach to education, when competence and expert knowledge are distinguished is clarified in the article. It is understood that the level of subject competencies characterizes an individual subject with regard to his or her abilities, which distinguishes one student from another through the content understanding and fast retention of learning material. The aim of the study is to show how the educational process is regulated by rational and emotional consciousness and how emotional consciousness, being associative, allows the student to use his or her life experience as a means of indirect influence on his or her behavior using the metaphors of A. N. Veraksa in the educational process. The author outlines that the competence of a student is his or her talent or giftedness, which is manifested in interaction with other students, that is, in a team: the student is an individual and collective subject of the educational process, and his or her activity regulates rational and emotional consciousness, so the task is to determine the forms of their integration in the educational process. It is noted that if the student's abilities are manifested in interaction with others, the successful/unsuccessful one is not an individual here, but a collective (group) subject. It is mentioned that in terms of B.M. Teplov, it is referred to “giftedness” in the form of a combination of individual abilities of participants in the educational process (situation), through which a chance for success in educational activities increases or reduces. It is concluded that in preschool and primary school age, an effective form of indirect influence is a fairy tale, and hereinafter – project activity, mediated in the student's mind by the metaphor of creativity, which puts the development of emotional consciousness under the control of the teacher.

The Concept of "Ethno-Cultural Design" in the System of Project Methodology of Interpretation of Socio-Political Reality
Research ArticleEthnic Culture No 1 (1)- Author:

- Work direction:
- Methodological Questions
- Abstract:
- The Concept «design» is one of the most popular and demanded in modern social and humanitarian Sciences. It is used to explain the controlled processes in the economic, political, social and spiritual spheres of public life. As a result, in each of the designated areas, their own types of design and project activities are formed, which have a unique specificity that requires detailed analysis. One of these types of design is ethnocultural design. The aim of the article is to interpret the concept of «ethno-cultural projection» as an organic part of the project theory of explaining social changes. The realization of this goal is possible by solving the following tasks. First, the classification of the main types of design, which are presented in the system of social and humanitarian knowledge. Secondly, the definition of the features and functionality of «ethno-cultural design». The methods of the article are based on the combination of the provisions of the civilizational theory with the principles of the project approach to the interpretation of socio-political reality. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the concept of «ethno-cultural design» is an integral part of the project methodology of interpretation of modern socio-political reality. At the same time, being a part of modern project methodology, this concept acts as an independent ideological and instrumental construction. Thus, it is formed around its own industry features and characteristics. The article concludes that ethno-cultural design is able to claim the status of an independent direction within the project methodology. The achievement of such a position is possible through the formulation of its own conceptual and categorical apparatus, the conditions for the implementation of project work, the mechanisms of project activity.

- Work direction:
- Theoretical and Applied Education Research
- Abstract:
- The article is devoted to foreign language education which is more effective if a student becomes the subject of his own learning process. Modern information and communication technologies (ICT) contain an enormous potential for increasing the share of independent work in the educational process. ICT is everything that helps and allows you to collect, process, store and transmit information in an electronic form. Today, the traditional carrier of the electronic information is increasingly being superseded by cloud services, allowing you to create a virtual workspace. The purpose of the research is to study the educational potential of the modern Internet space, review the main educational online resources on the Internet in English, which can be used, both for teaching and self-learning a foreign language. In the process of the research, both empirical research methods (studying various sources of information, including the Internet, observation, interviews) and theoretical ones (analysis, synthesis, classification of the information received, the descriptive method) were used. The result of our study is a review of the main online services that can be used in a foreign language education. Digital tools for the formation of language skills (lexical, grammatical, pronunciation) and the development of speech skills in all types of speech activity (listening, speaking, reading, writing) are considered. It is concluded that in the modern Internet space there are huge educational resources in English for teachers and students that allow them to promote foreign language education. These resources are an important tool in the educational process and allow you to increase the level of students’ independence.

- Abstract:
- The question on the need to perform homework on physical education for students in the form of additional physical activity is considered in the article. The problem of motor activity lack is studied and a solution presented in the form of certain exercises set in order to accustom the student to regular physical activity is found. The positive and negative aspects of this innovation are considered. Method of research. To confirm the theoretical assumption about the benefits of doing homework, a study that lasted for three months was conducted. The study engaged 60 students (30 young males and 30 young females) aged 17-19 years, in which they were divided equally by gender into 2 groups – control (CG) and experimental (EG). The results of the study. As a result of experiment, after doing homework for 3 months, improvements in student’s physical qualities in the experimental group could be observed. Among them: strength, endurance, flexibility, dexterity, speed and coordination of movements. It is concluded that due to physical exercises performed independently at home, the blood supply to the muscles and regulation of their activity by the nervous system improves – muscle mass increases, the immune system strengthens and, consequently, health improves, endorphins are produced in the body, so students feel better after training. Also, training the muscular system increases endurance in conditions of both physical and mental stress, thanks to an active lifestyle, the body's metabolic rate remains at a high level for long time, which prevents aging. Regular exercise makes it easier to fall asleep and improves the quality of sleep.
