    Abstract:
    The problem of subjective well-being has recently become an analysis of a wide range of researchers interested in improving the quality of life of an individual and his satisfaction. The article reveals the concept of "subjective well-being", presents an analysis of recent research on this issue. Screening diagnostics "Scale of subjective well-being" made it possible to determine the features of the emotional state, social behavior and some physical symptoms in undergraduate students of the agrarian university. Minor gender differences in the assessment of subjective well-being among students have been established.

    The article highlights the life path of Mikhail Fedorovich Vishnyakov, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. The work is of an informative and educational nature in memory of a person who has passed away, whose activities deserve to be reflected in the memory of the residents of our region. The authors aim to promote the formation of feelings of citizenship and patriotism, respect for the history and culture of their country. The upbringing of the younger generation should be carried out precisely on the example of such heroes as our fellow countryman. His story had a strong impact on the public consciousness of the villagers, especially on the consciousness of young people.

    This chapter presents various ways to effectively manage time in the process of academic learning, given as a premise that it is an abstract resource, which is difficult to manage, although it has a significant impact on student life. In general, a modern person is becoming increasingly busy, feeling a gap between the number of activities he wants to complete and the ability to complete them in a timely, stress-free manner. During the process of academic learning, students face the need to rebuild their way of using time as a resource, as well as other resources associated with it, thus becoming more organized, which has an impact on the results of their activities. In the event of academic environment, as for students participating in the educational process, sources of stress are either at the academical level: people in a group with close relationships, individual teachers, group membership, competition with peers. Also, tense relationships with decision makers, who makes amendments at the level of the system, institution, various events in public life. Regarding sources of stress, they can also be found at the level of the educational activity itself: the nature of tasks, their volume, complexity, deadlines, restrictions, learning conditions, unjustified rules and habits, ambiguity of functions, student’s lack of desire to assign them. The study aims to outline several effective principles of action related to time management that could be useful for both students and educators.

  • Developing Spiritual and Moral Values of High School Students in English Lessons

    Abstract:
    The article describes an experimental study aimed at developing the spiritual and moral values of high school students in English lessons. It was assumed that the use of debatable teaching methods would contribute to the development of spiritual and moral values of high school students in English lessons. The study included 3 stages: the primary diagnosis of the spiritual and moral sphere of the personality of students of experimental and control groups – M. Rokich's methodology "Diagnosis of value orientations", diagnosis of moral education by M. I. Shilova, methods of studying patriotic education by I.D. Lushnikov, methods "Study of self-esteem of personality" by S. A. Budassi; development, testing and implementation in the educational process in an experimental group of discussion methods of teaching; conducting a control diagnosis of the spiritual and moral sphere of students and analyzing the effectiveness of the proposed exercises. The analysis of the research results showed that the use of debatable teaching methods has a positive impact on the development of spiritual and moral values of high school students in English lessons. Proven and implemented discussion methods in the educational process are important for understanding the development of spiritual and moral values of high school students and can be useful for educational practices.

  • The Relationship between High School Students' Entrepreneurship Needs and the Frequency of Entrepreneurship Consulting Activities by Teachers in Vietnam

    Abstract:
    Under the impact of Industrial Revolution 4.0, promoting entrepreneurship among students is an important direction to contribute to the economic and social development of Vietnam in the current period. The study was conducted to determine the characteristics of high school students' needs for entrepreneurship, the frequency of entrepreneurial consulting activities of teachers and the relationship between them, like the basic foundation for the effective organization of entrepreneurial consulting activities for high school students. Questionnaire is the main method using in this study. The questionnaire includes 35 items, which were tested for reliability by using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The research subjects include 3185 Vietnamese high school students. Statistical data is processed by using SPSS version 20.0. Research results show that, the need for entrepreneurship is popular among high school students, but is not yet clear. Entrepreneurial consulting activities are implemented in schools, but the frequency is not high, conducted by teachers in the form of group classes. There is a positive, statistically significant relationship between students' need for entrepreneurship and the frequency of counseling activities for them. The research data is scientific basis for establishing the model of entrepreneurship counseling and building measures to improve the effectiveness of entrepreneurship counseling activities for Vietnamese high school students.

  • Formation of Critical Thinking among University Students (using the Example of Teaching a Foreign Language)

    Abstract:
    The relevance of this study lies in the fact that modern society is putting forward more and more requirements for graduates of higher educational institutions, to have a certain set of professional competencies, critical thinking and teamwork. The purpose of this study is to consider the concept of critical thinking, to identify the stages and levels of formation of critical thinking among students of higher educational institutions. To achieve these goals, the following research methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature of Russian and foreign scientists on the topic under study. The purposeful introduction of critical thinking elements into the process of teaching students a foreign language contributes to the formation of their critical thinking skills. The authors of the study cite individual fragments of the developed foreign language training sessions aimed at developing critical thinking skills. The conclusions of the study emphasize the main role of teachers, who help students interpret, analyze, evaluate and implement the acquired knowledge in practice. Teaching students a foreign language in line with critical thinking requires university teachers to master language competencies, purposeful, systematic preparation for conducting training sessions aimed at completing tasks related to the formation of students’ critical thinking skills.

  • Professionally oriented intercultural communication of Chinese students in Russian

    Abstract:
    The article is devoted to the study of the ethnocultural component of the educational process of Chinese philology students. The purpose of the study is to build a professionally oriented model for preparing foreign students for intercultural communication in Russian. The research material consisted of video and audio recordings of educational work in Russian in the conditions of Russian preparatory faculties. Research methods – analysis of theoretical models presented in modern literature on teaching the Russian language in Chinese audiences; generalization of one’s own practical experience; modeling the educational process with the inclusion of an ethnocultural component in the model. As a result of the study, the authors come to the following conclusions: as an optimal methodological basis, one should choose a variable model of personal-activity learning, based on anthropological, communicative and cognitive principles in a complex, which will allow to include in training, on the one hand, ethnocultural component, on the other hand, will not disrupt the processes of comprehensive learning and the formation of a linguistic personality as an integral phenomenon. As an integrative component, the model presents a metatext that is relevant for Chinese philology students, based on the standardized intention «General characteristics of an object». As a result, students, relying on ethnocultural potential and the ability to build communication in Russian, by the end of the first semester master the A2+ level and are ready to work in the second semester to study special philological disciplines directly in Russian.

    Abstract:
    The chapter presents a complex of formative capacities for volunteer activities for the development of university students. Based on the methodology of a holistic approach to the analysis of the pedagogical process in the sphere of student volunteering, as well as empirical data from a survey of students and experts on volunteering, the authors propose a construct of the pedagogical functions of this sphere within the framework of a three-component structure of functions – developmental, educational and upbringing. The developmental capacities of volunteering are represented by such functions as: identification, referential, integrating, cognitive, orientation, reflective, communicative, empathy, facilitation, catharsis, functions of self-disclosure and self-consciousness. The educational component of volunteering includes the functions of social competence, as well as civil, legal and cultural competence, a team-building function, the functions of project modeling, professional adaptation, professional testing, professional-practical, career and self-education functions. The upbringing influence of volunteering is expressed in such functions as: social-motivating, innovative-initiative, harmonizing, human-istic, labor, value-worldview, spiritual-moral, functions of hardiness, self-organization, self-determination, and self-formation. The study concluded about the leading role of the moral function of volunteering for students’ self-realization.     The chapter is devoted to the problem of theoretical and practical understanding of the issue of designing variable trajectories to support adaptation in the workplace of young disabled people. The problem is solved through consideration of support trajectories and mechanisms for promoting employment of this category of citizens. An analysis of the main barriers to adaptation and issues of overcoming them was also carried out. The authors analyze and evaluate the success of adaptation to the workplace of young disabled people. For this purpose, a comparative study of graduates with disabilities and normotypical peers was conducted. It was revealed that adaptation of graduates with disabilities is a multicomponent neoplasm. This should be taken into account when strategically planning the content of mentors’ work, when building a system of employee motivation, as well as when implementing adaptation measures to reduce the anxiety and uncertainty of young professionals with disabilities.

  • Social Dispatch Assistance with Iron Deficiency Anemia in Students with the Consequences of Early Organic Damage to the Central Nervous System

    The chapter is devoted to determining the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia (IDA) in students with the consequences of early organic damage to the central nervous system. The increased interest in this disease is due to a number of circumstances. Firstly, hypoxia of the brain in IDA affects the cognitive abilities of minors. Secondly, this disease in children with intellectual disabilities provokes diseases of the cardiovascular system in 62.5%, visual impairment in 31.2%, and pathology of the urinary system in 38.7%. Research methods. For the presence or absence of iron deficiency anemia, in the period from 2015 to 2023, medical documents of 653 students from different nosological groups associated with cognitive impairment were examined. The study made it possible to draw the following conclusions: the prevalence of IDA in children with F80 (expressive speech disorder) is 20%, with F83 (mixed specific disorders of psychological development) – 31%, with F70 (mild mental retardation) – 52%, with F71 (moderate mental retardation) – 33%. The total number of minors with a history of iron deficiency anemia is high. More than 40% of all students and pupils with disabilities (HIA) who study according to adapted programs due to intellectual and speech disorders may need social dispatching assistance from specialists of PMPC and school councils. The results of the study may be of interest to a wide range of medical and pedagogical specialists. Doctors are asked a problematic question about why, with moderate mental retardation and more pronounced (significant) cognitive impairments, the prevalence of IDA is significantly lower compared to mild mental retardation. Using specific clinical examples, teachers are described various algorithms of social dispatching assistance to families to prevent possible secondary violations in minors.

    This scientific article discusses the importance and effectiveness of the use of visualization in teaching mathematics to foreign students at the preparatory faculties of technical universities. The analysis of the available visualization methods contains interactive demonstrations, graphs, diagrams, animations and other techniques that contribute to improving the understanding of mathematical concepts and stimulate the active participation of students in the educational process. This study also examines the advantages and limitations of visualization, offers recommendations for the effective use of this tool in teaching mathematics to international students.

    A higher educational institution, being an important institution for the development of society, ensures the full implementation of targeted psychological and pedagogical influence on students in matters of the formation of a system of values, knowledge, skills, and targeted development of individual personality traits. Modern approaches of researchers note the importance of determining the readiness to perform maternal functions in the younger generation and carrying out a set of activities that enrich students with knowledge about motherhood and child rearing. The purpose of the work is to determine the pedagogical aspects of the organization of work on the formation of readiness to perform maternal functions among girls in higher education institutions. The study emphasizes the importance of carrying out work in this direction, notes the leading role of psychological disciplines, namely the organization of classroom work, consisting of lectures and practical classes, extracurricular activities and independent work of students. A special role in the work with students on the formation of the maternal principle is given to the use of the educational potential of social partners (representatives of the healthcare system and museums).

  • Choosing a programming language for high school students

    Currently, special attention is paid to the content of the training of schoolchildren in computer science. Interest in software development and code writing methods is growing every year. This is due to the change in methods and means of training in the field of writing program code associated with the emergence and development of new paradigms and programming languages. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the choice of a programming language for the preparation of high school students in the field of programming and solving the tasks of the Unified State Exam in computer science. Materials and methods of research: in the course of the research, a theoretical approach was used: the study, systematization and analysis of theoretical materials, scientific and methodological resources for teaching programming to schoolchildren, demos, test tasks, manuals, educational websites for preparing for the Unified State Exam in computer science, as well as many years of experience in teaching schoolchildren and students the basics of programming. Research results and their discussion: Programming languages PascalABC.NET and Python are currently the most popular in school education. The article analyzes the possibilities of these programming systems and the prospects of their application in teaching high school students the basics of programming. Examples of solving typical problems from the Unified State Exam in computer science in both languages are given to compare the speed and efficiency of the code. Conclusions. Language PascalABC.NET it has a number of advantages and can be recommended as a language for teaching programming. The language is high-performance, well structured, has strict typing and is adapted to the tasks of the Unified State Exam in computer science. When teaching future programmers, the basics of writing code, it is advisable to combine languages PascalABC.NET and Python.

    The current political situation emphasizes the necessity to maintain the image of the country, Russian culture and language, Russian-language education in the world. In the conditions of the educational process of the university, the problem of maintaining motivation to study among students of the international faculty, which directly depends on the atmosphere in the student group, is topical. The article reflects the results of the research aimed at approbation of the program of work with students of international faculty based on the application of elements of traditional cultures (traditional and folk games, communicative norms and traditions, elements of folk folklore, etc.) as a tool to overcome tension and conflict in student groups studying Russian as a foreign language. The method of questionnaire survey, psychological testing, and expert evaluations were used to assess conflict and distance. Conclusions: the organization of work with students of the international faculty within the framework of the psychological service of the university has its own specificity, different from the work with Russian-speaking students; the use of elements of traditional culture (traditional and folk games, communicative norms and traditions, elements of folk folklore, etc.) is appropriate for solving the problems of psychological support of foreign students during the period of study.

  • Estimating the coherence of mental representations of category “emotion” in non-psychologist and psychologist students

    Abstract:
    Psychologists studying emotion repeatedly noted that the meaning of the concept of «emotion» in both everyday and scientific area is characterized by insufficient coherence and fuzzy boundaries. This raises the question of whether the representations of people in everyday life include a related set of properties that characterize emotions as a class of phenomena, and whether these representations differ in non-psychologist and psychologist students. Our goal was to study the coherence of mental representations of emotions as a class of phenomena among psychologist and non-psychologist students. Participants included non-psychologist (100 male, 110 female, mean age – 19 years) and psychologist students (31 male, 159 female, mean age – 20 years). Methods used included the method of definitions, the method of associations; the coherence of the answers was estimated with frequency analysis, the method of family resemblance by E. Roche, the Pearson association coefficient, the method for calculating the indices of coherence, divergence and structure organization proposed by A.V. Karpov. The results of the study showed that non-psychologist students' answers were characterized the lower level of categorical validity, structure coherence, overall organization, established less amount of correlations then psychologist students' answers. It can be concluded that mental representations of non-psychologist students demonstrate lower coherence than psychologist students. The observed differences may be due to the fact that psychologist students learn scientific concepts of emotion as part of their education. At the same time, the answers that psychologist students give cannot be called completely coherent, which may be due to the difficulty of identifying a related set of properties that consist the meaning of the scientific concept of emotion. In conclusion are given some recommendations for the teacher aimed at increasing the level of coherence in mental representations of emotions among students.

  • Relation of academic difficulties with individual characteristics of students

    Abstract:
    The chapter considers the relationship of students' self-reports on the presence and overcoming of academic difficulties in the process of learning at the university with the motives of learning, self-assessment of emotional and personal well-being and academic performance. The authors' pilot questionnaire aimed at identifying students' academic difficulties and opportunities to overcome them in the educational process at the university, as well as the methods «Diagnostics of Students' Learning Motivation» (Badmaeva, 2004) and «Self-assessment of Emotional and Personal Well-being» (Karapetyan, Glotova, 2020) and self-report of students on their academic performance for the previous semesters were used. The main part of the study was conducted by an online survey in a Google-form on a sample of 75 students of different ages, genders, courses and learning profiles, 40 students participated in the additional part of the study. Data processing was carried out using correlation analysis (according to Spearman). As a result of the study, multiple significant correlations of the academic difficulties with motives of learning, academic performance and emotional and personal well-being of students were obtained; a number of differences in the correlations of academic difficulties with the motives of learning of «activity spectrum» and «social spectrum» were revealed.
