  • The use of interactive gaming technologies in teaching Russian to younger students

    Abstract:
    The article explores the use of interactive game-based technologies in teaching Russian to elementary school students. It examines the theoretical foundations and practical application of game-based methods for developing students' lexical and grammatical skills. The results of a pedagogical experiment, aimed at comparing the effectiveness of traditional and game-based teaching approaches, are presented. Based on the data obtained, it is demonstrated that game-based technologies enhance motivation, improve material retention, and foster children's communicative abilities. Practical recommendations for incorporating game-based technologies into the educational process are provided.

    Abstract:
    The gap between qualification of university graduates and real market demands, which has been observed over the last decades, reveals the challenge of deploying project-based educational technologies in higher education. The article is aimed at analyzing findings of applying a project-based approach in higher education in Russia. The study was carried out over the period of 3 years involving interviews of freshmen. The research discloses the major benefits and possible hurdles engaged in the process of introducing project-based technology in Russian higher education. The most significant positive results noted by the respondents, were the acquisition of team work experience and development of communication skills. Among the problems associated with the implementation of project tasks, the greatest challenge is presented by the task of building communications with outside organizations. A conclusion was drawn that the key obstacles for first-year students are linked to secondary school education. This can be explained by the current dominating role of traditional teaching methods at schools discouraging the development of practical skills. The study has shown that gaps in school education can be largely solved already in the first year within the framework of project-based learning. The above given evidence makes it possible to conclude that it is necessary to introduce various forms of project-oriented activities into the school curricula. Findings of the empirical research carried out in the study have major implications for teachers in higher educational establishments who are involved into guiding project-based activities of first year students.

    The study reveals the specifics of teaching basic art disciplines in the junior courses of the undergraduate direction of the Design 54.03.01. Modern conditions are presented that form the sphere of professional activity of future designers. It reflects the importance of introducing students to moral, ethical and aesthetic values. Attention is focused on creating an artistic image as the fundamental principles of compositional tasks. The fundamental significance of the Propaedeutics discipline is revealed. Didactic teaching principles in the context of design education are outlined. The author's set of propaedeutics exercises is disclosed, which have increasing complexity, coordination of interdisciplinary ties and the development of the emotional sphere of students. The logic of interaction and continuity of disciplines can be traced. Features of training using computer tools and the use of neural networks in training are disclosed. The conditions for the further development of the designer in the professional field on the basis of fundamental knowledge are formulated.

    Abstract:
    The study of gender differences in the academic engagement of university students is necessary for the targeted use of various educational technologies in the educational process in higher education. In this regard, it is important to conduct a comparative analysis of the components of engagement in higher education among girls and boys. The study used the methods «Emoticons» (Gizhitsky, 2016), «Diagnostics of student learning motivation» (Badmaeva, 2004), «Scales of academic motivation» (Gordeeva, Sychev, Osin, 2014), «Self-assessment of emotional and personal well-being» (Karapetyan, Glotova, 2020), pilot author's questionnaires «Inclusiveness in learning sessions», «Academic microdeviations» and «Self-report on academic performance». 263 university students aged 16–25 (202 girls and 61 boys) took part in the study conducted by an online survey. The Mann-Whitney U-test was used in data processing. The results of the study revealed that according to the indicators of academic engagement of students, more directly related to learning, there are no gender differences, and the belonging of girls and boys to the same socio-demographic group – «studentship» comes to the fore, since the norms and requirements for higher school students do not differentiate depending on the gender of students; gender differences were found in indicators of academic engagement, which are more indirectly related to learning, since these differences are largely due to the influence of spontaneous and purposeful impacts from broader layers of society, such as family upbringing, communication in peer reference groups, the impact of mass media and the Internet, including information and psychological technologies of social engineering.

    Abstract:
    The chapter considers methodological approaches to the development of business communication skills of students of a non-linguistic university in a foreign language based on educational speech situations that allow reconstructing the conditions of business intercultural communication that are significant for educational purposes. In the context of interactive, situational and communicative approach, some stages and features of the development of intercultural business communication are specified. The advantage of a communicative task from a methodological point of view as a stimulus for speech activity and a means of managing the student's speech behavior in a specific situation of intercultural business communication are noted. A business game is characterized as the most effective stage of teaching a foreign language in the field of intercultural business communication; recommendations are given for the use of business games in the educational process of a non-linguistic university. The conceptual foundations of gaming technologies are described and the methodology of their use within the framework of interactive and communicative approaches is substantiated.

    Abstract:
    Development of the EIEE (electronic information and educational environment) is one of the most important topics in modern pedagogical research. This process is currently undergoing a lot of changes and requires its detailed understanding within the framework of pedagogical science, as modern educational programmes for specialists’ training require implementation of innovative digital technologies. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to carry out theoretical analysis and case study in order to systematize this concept in the context of implementing educational programs for training highly qualified specialists in various sectors of the digital economy. EIEE plays the key role in terms of implementing educational programs for training highly qualified specialists in various areas of digital economy. This paper provides generalized analysis of existing theoretical approaches to the concept of "ecosystem" and considers various views on EIEE’s development. Particular attention is paid to the authors’ approach, which is based on cooperation with industrial partners. In this context, it is proposed to create EIEE through the development of technical specifications, integration of cross-platform solutions and sharing resources. In the course of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that EIEE’s development is an important step towards evolution of educational programmes that meet the requirements of modern digital economy and contribute to training of a new generation of specialists, who are ready for challenges that future presents.

  • Educational online technologies as effective tools for learning English terminology of language for specific purposes (LSP) by the students of non-linguistic university specialties: interdisciplinary approach

    Abstract:
    The paper describes the research conducted by the team of the English teachers of English for Humanities Dpt. of Southern federal university. The investigation aimed at the study of effectiveness of learning English terminology for special purposes by the non-linguistics university program students with the help of IT-technologies. In the experiment the online course "Legal Communication: Legal Writing and Oral Communication in the Practice of Law", developed by the interdisciplinary team of university teachers of the Faculty of Law and the English teachers of English for Humanities Dpt. on the Moodle LMS. Interdisciplinary approach applied in the course of investigation embraced the main principles of two sciences: methods of teaching foreign languages and terminology study. The results obtained show that both the usage of educational IT-technologies and the educational IT- products increases the students’ motivation for learning the language of their future profession if the content of the educational IT- products is thoroughly developed on the main subjects of theoretical and practical terminology study: the description of the history of formation and development of a language for special purposes, the linguistic and extra-linguistic factors that influenced its development, its vocabulary, style and genres, the techniques of appropriate use of terms in the special context.

Преимущества ChatGPT – способность генерировать разговоры, похожие на человеческие, скорость и эффективность обработки информации, а также экономичность. Проблемы использования ChatGPT – копирование текстов без критического анализа того, что было выделено или выбрано из источника, без ссылок на первоисточники и без осознания возможности плагиата. Технологии чата GPT, расширяя возможности анализа и обработки данных, не отвечают за достоверность полученных результатов и соответствие генерируемого контента требованиям научной этики.
